Law of Learning

The 80 / 20 Rule of Learning

In the early 1900’s Alfredo Pareto discovered that 80 % of the money in England was in the hands of only 20% of the people.  Now – how could this knowledge possibly help you?

Businesses have capitalized on it for years – it’s application to companies who target the 20% of their clients who provide 80% of their capital.

Learning is one area that I feel this principle can have a major impact.  If students learn how they learn – they can maximize the types of studying they focus on, thus improve their learning.

As a business will gear their efforts to attract and cater to the 20% of clients that give them 80% of their business; so can college students study the way that opens their learning channels that best serve them.
